CONGRATULATIONS to Dr. Efrain Olszewer
For his exemplary leadership in the establishment of orthomolecular societies and educational initiatives in South America, Central America, and Europe, Dr. Olszewer was inducted into the the Orthomolecular Medicine Hall of Fame on June 1, 2023, during the 34º Congresso Internacional de Práctica Ortomolecular in São Paulo, Brazil.
Efrain Olszewer, MD

Efrain Olszewer was born in Bolivia and grew up in Brazil. He completed medical school at the University San Simón in Cochabamba, Bolivia. In 1980 he qualified in the USA through the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates and was accredited in Brazil in 1982. With a specialty in internal medicine and postgraduate work in cardiology, Dr. Olszewer has been an expert in orthomolecular medicine for forty years. He is the clinical director of CMP (Centre for Preventive Medicine) and the founder and professor at FAPES (Foundation for the Support of Health Research and Studies).
Dr. Olszewer has trained 25,000 physicians and 4,000 nutritionists in orthomolecular medicine throughout all of South America and in Mexico, Panama, Costa Rica, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Poland and Japan. He has authored dozens of studies and 94 books on health and medicine, and for the last 30 years Dr. Olszewer has served as the clinical editor of the quarterly Journal of Orthomolecular Practice. He is the organizer of the International Congress on Orthomolecular Practice, which has grown from an inaugural meeting of 15 physicians in 1983 – to over 2500 participants at the 34th Congress in 2023.
