After serving for two years as President of the International Society for Orthomolecular Medicine, I am pleased to share some notable accomplishments from this time. These opportunities have helped to further solidify the place of orthomolecular medicine within academic, clinical, and professional spheres.
Key activities included:

- University of Ain Témouchent
- University of Mascara
- Faculty of Medicine in Algiers
- Faculty of Pharmacy in Tlemcen
- Cancer Center of Béchar
- Oncology Department in Sebdou
- Leading structured training programs on integrative and orthomolecular medicine, including:
- a lecture series for over 2,000 medical professionals on fertility-related therapies at the International Congress for Gynecologists
- presentations at major events such as the National Forum on Integrative Medicine in Algeria, the Associação Médica Brasileira de Prática Ortomolecular (AMBO) Congress in São Paulo, Brazil, and the International Congress on Orthomolecular Medicine in Boracay, Philippines
- teaching contributions on metabolic oncology at the University of Nebrija in Spain
- keynote addresses at conferences in London (UK), Paris, and Orléans (France)
- Contributing to broader public education through discussion of preventive health, metabolic balance, and the therapeutic value of orthomolecular approaches through:
- appearances on Algerian national television, and major Algerian radio stations including Algerian International Radio, Radio Algiers, and Radio Tlemcen
- interviews in health publications and medical journals
A significant collaboration was also established with the National School of Health Management and Administration, where specialized modules were developed to raise awareness among healthcare leaders about the importance of integrative and orthomolecular medicine.
Throughout all of these engagements my mission has remained constant: to empower individuals and medical practitioners with science-based, human-centered knowledge for better health outcomes.
I extend my deepest thanks to the institutions, colleagues, and students who have contributed to this dynamic momentum.
With respect and dedication,
Ilyes Baghli, MD
