About the webinar

Presenter: Alexander Schauss, PhD, CFS, FACN

Opioid addiction is a serious health and social problem that afflicts societies around the world. A study conducted in New York City in the 1960’s demonstrated that increasing doses of ascorbic acid (vitamin C) attenuated withdrawal symptoms, allowing addicts to end their dependence on heroin.

Officials from the National Institute for Drug Abuse and Alcoholism (NIDAA) at the U.S. National Institutes for Health (NIH), confirmed the effectiveness of ascorbic acid, yet failed to provide funding to support further research on this viable treatment.

In this presentation Dr. Schauss will discuss his original research findings and the clinical protocol used to attenuate opioid withdrawal symptoms.
