The Editorial Board of the Journal of Orthomolecular Medicine is pleased to announce the appointment of Benjamin I. Brown, ND, as the incoming Editor for the Journal of Orthomolecular Medicine. Ben has clinical experience as a Naturopathic Physician in Australia and the United Kingdom and is the Associate Editor for Integrative Healthcare and Applied Nutrition, the leading Journal for Health Professionals in the United Kingdom. He is also a Lecturer and Advisory Board Member for the British College of Nutritional Health. As a medical writer and educator, Ben has the knowledge and editorship ability, and he is passionate about and committed to Orthomolecular Medicine. Ben gave two lectures at the 2015 Orthomolecular Medicine Today Conference in Toronto, and has published two articles in the JOM. (20122014) Ben will bring a new perspective and interest to the Journal, will work well with our existing board, and is excited to join us. “I am extremely honoured to be given this opportunity and I am greatly looking forward to the adventure. It will be interesting to explore how we can evolve the Journal at this important milestone in its history.” The Journal of Orthomolecular Medicine is celebrating its 50th Anniversary of publication.

The JOM Editorial Board also wishes to extend its deep appreciation to Jonathan Prousky for his seven years of service as the JOM Editor. Since Abram Hoffer’s death in 2009, Jonathan has brought many improvements to the JOM, including a more rigorous peer-review process, improved referencing guidelines and author submission standards. Most importantly, Jonathan has been indispensable in keeping the JOM alive. Jonathan was inducted into the Orthomolecular Medicine Hall of Fame at the 2017 Orthomolecular Medicine Today Conference in April in Toronto; this was a milestone in his career, in addition to his many other achievements. Jonathan will remain a member of the JOM Editorial Board and assist where needed. We wish Jonathan all the best in his new endeavors.

In addition to the change in Editor, Andrew Cuscianna has become the JOM Production Editor. Andrew, who has been working with the Canadian Society for Orthomolecular Medicine since 2011, is now responsible for formatting and preparing the JOM for bi-monthly digital publication on the ISOM website. With Ben and the JOM Editorial Board, Andrew will also help to develop new sources of revenue and participation for the JOM.
