Biography
At the age of 42, Dr. Bill Code was at the height of a successful and challenging career in anesthesiology when a neurologist diagnosed symptoms he was experiencing as progressive Multiple Sclerosis. The diagnosis and progression of disease ultimately resulted in a loss of hospital privileges and his capacity to work in the field of anesthesiology.
While attending a conference entitled Complimentary & Alternative Medical Choices for Multiple Sclerosis, Dr. Code began to understand non-conventional approaches to recovering from MS. Upon eliminating wheat from his diet, he experienced a significant improvement in his symptoms and regained the hope he had lost with pharmaceutical interventions.
Dr. Code began to investigate and integrate the use of organic foods, vitamins supplements and other regimens to facilitate his healing process. It was his own progression over the next few months that drove Dr. Code’s passion in Integrative Medicine. He completed a 2-year fellowship at the renowned College of Medicine, University of Arizona, founded by Dr. Andrew Weil. Areas of study included nutrition, Ayrvedic medicine, traditional Chinese medicine, homeopathy, osteopathy, and herbal medicine.
Today he is recognized as a leading educator and author, and also as an expert on Glutathione (GSH), the master antioxidant that is vital to the detoxification process and often depleted in people suffering most chronic disease. Books authored by Dr. Code include: Who’s in Control of your Multiple Sclerosis, Youth Renewed, Winning the Pain Game, Point of Return, and Solving the Brain Puzzle.
