Biography

Dr. Adrienne Junek completed her MD at the University of Toronto in 2013 and her Family Medicine Residency at the University of Ottawa in 2015.  She completed a fellowship in integrative medicine through the University of Arizona (2017) and is certified board-certified by the American Board of Physician Specialties (2018).  In 2021 she completed her training in functional medicine through the Institute for Functional Medicine and currently practices as an integrative and functional medicine consultant.

Dr Junek has completed the McMaster Contemporary Acupuncture training program and provides medical acupuncture, trigger point injections, and other therapeutic injections for pain and injury management at an interdisciplinary musculoskeletal clinic. Dr Junek is the integrative medicine unit coordinator for 2nd year medical students at the University of Ottawa medical school, where she also coordinates the interdisciplinary interprofessional elective for 4th year medical students.
