Biography

Dr. Rose Bilotta has achieved four board certifications and is appointed as Adjunct Professor at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto.  She is interested in preventive medicine, reducing patient risk factors, and promoting the wellbeing of patients and the community.  At the University of Toronto, she completed a Bachelor of Science, a Masters of Health Science in Community Health and Epidemiology, and a Medical Degree, followed by a five-year residency in Public Health and Preventive Medicine (a Royal College of Physicians of Canada Specialty).  She worked as Senior Medical Consultant for over 8 years with the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care’s Public Health Division.  She was part of the Medical Group assisting the Chief Medical Officer of Health of Ontario for outbreak investigation and management, provincial on-call duties and policy assistance.  She is currently in private practice.  In the United States, she pursued functional medicine education with the Institute of Functional Medicine and in 2013 became part of the pioneering first graduating cohort in North America as an Institute of Functional Medicine Certified Practitioner (IFMCP).  Her long-term goal is to apply her passion for nutrition and disease modification towards novel research, patient practice and policy while delivering personalized medicine to positively impact population health.
